Great food and excellent service!

Great little place by Uno port! Seems popular for locals but also very welcoming to tourists with English menu. They have two veggie options for and the sets are great value. The fish was very nicely done in a tasty sauce. Cool art too!

The meal is good, but their menu has no english translation (or maybe we just didnt know?) Costumer service is not so good.

Really nice. Doesn't look like much from the street but super glad we ate there. Big meals and is cheap.

Amazing homemade traditional meal for affordable price (most meals under 1k yen) well worth the visit if in the area.Arrived at 1150 on a Monday. Was full inside but seating was available in a few mins. English menu was available. Ordered the fish set menu for 700yen which included rice, miso soup, tofu, pickled vegetables and your choice of fish chosen at the counter.Fish I chose was tender and had a sweet soy tare sauce. Miso was one of the best I've had with strong flavours and a poached egg. Tofu and pickled vegetables were light and refreshing compliments. Atmosphere was very cosy and service lovely.

Family run restaurant with great value sets. Around 800 yen for a satisfying homecooked meal. Also, an English menu.

Fun place to eat dinner. We both had the set fish dinner. Tuna was our choice. We also ordered fried vegetables as well. Everything was good, like what your mom might have made. Very friendly staff.

Amazing little authentic Japanese eats place. This place has a display of their various dishes that makes it easy to both pick your food and build an appetite. Highly recommended.

Truly a family owned restaurant. Very small, but worth the wait. I loved the fish set. Simple, delicious, and felt like traditional Japanese home cooking.

Recommended by our hotel owner at Uno Nido. It was great, we ended coming back on our second night! There was a small queue but don't let that put you off as it goes super quickly. The food is made super quickly. Would recommend the pork set menu and curry! Amazing value also!!

This restaurant makes delicious Japanese food. I went with the fish set (chose mackerel from the counter) and my friend chose the pork set menu. Both of us were very happy. The staff is helpful. There was a queue of locals waiting to get served, so this restaurant is not aimed at tourists.

We had an excellent dinner here. Absolutely loved the fish set with the mackerel - you can choose the fish you like from the table they have set up. Would definitely come back to eat here again!

Delicious!! I had the ginger pork teishoku set, plenty of food and super flavorful! They also had a beautiful collection of bizen-yaki

This is six ⭐️ place. We had fish and meet set and it was very delicious. Don’t forget to order Ginger Ale, to burn down this lovely food :)

Super friendly staff and a delicious vegetable set! I also had a hot sake. This place is veggie friendly and meccha oishii! Definitely give it a try for some real, local Japanese food at a good price.

Delicious food - highly recommended! I got the fish set and my husband got the katsu don. For the fish set, you pick a fish on the counter (5-6 options) and it comes with rice, pickles and miso soup. Water and hot tea available to serve yourself. Two set menus were about 1450 yen, but it will vary based on what you get. English menus available. I think cash only

This is the greatest meal I've ever had. The fish platter comes with plenty more than just fish. The mackerel was phenomenal, and for $7 and I can't think of anywhere on earth that will give you more value for your money. You must visit this restaurant. I went three times while I was in tamano for two days.

Absolutely awesome placed really LOVED dining here. A gorgeous family restaurant with a funky vibe. The menu was extensive from fish to pork to vegetarian. They serve beer and sake but no wine or soft drinks. I had the fish set menu and an egg omelette. Absolutely delicious. It was very busy so if you are a single customer be prepared to eat at a table with other customers and larger groups may have to wait. I will definitely be going back again!

Much more than fine. This store should be the best restaurant in UNO city, not just because the taste bust also the service. We tried 2 times during 3 days when we traveled to Uno. Extremely recommend the FISH set menu.

We asked an old lady who lives on the street and she recommended this place. It was absolutely delicious!!! And they even have an English menu. Great diner, thank you to the owners!

Attention vegetarians and vegans: this restaurant has an excellent vegetable set. They will leave off the miso soup and substitute another side dish. My excellent dinner included grilled eggplant with ginger, sauteed mixed vegetables in black pepper sauce, tofu with green onion and soy sauce, pickled cucumbers, and rice. All for 800 yen. There is a large pot of free, black tea on the table. The staff is very nice and the prices are affordable. Highly recommended!

Amazing little restaurant with well priced lunch sets - if you get the fish you can pick what kind. Only a short walk from Uno station and port and worth it if you have some time to kill before a ferry or train.

Best Japanese diner food ever! Solid on two separate occasions.

Delicious fish! We had dinner here and both chose the set fish meal (only 700 yen, tax included). We did not regret it! As a foreigner you get an English menu and the hostess speaks very good English. We got to choose our fish ourselves from a display on the bar. The set menu came with extra side dishes, miso soup and rice. Everything was very very delicious and tasteful. This food was made with love for cooking and respect for the ingredients. Stop reading this review and go inside. :-)

Loved this place. Food was simple but excellent. The staff was SO nice and super hardworking. Seems like a family run place that is popular with the tourists and the locals. When we return, it’ll be the first place we visit!

Great little place with English menu and English speaking staff. Vegetarian options, able to be made Vegan. More importantly: The food is delicious. We had the vegetarian set, minus the miso soup (contains fish) and added the cold tofu which comes with a touch of olive oil and soy sauce. Amazing! Highly recommended!
